Not to be confused with the other design and creative studios that share the Saltwater name. This Saltwater Studio is the one at saltwaterstudio.xyz, founded by Travis Abadie in Destin, Florida.

Who is Travis Abadie?

I was born and raised in Destin. I went to Fort Walton Beach High School and took college courses at Louisiana State University and Northwest Florida State College.

My family owned Gilligan's Seafood Restaurant and Gilligan's WaterSports, and I grew up in both. I was rolling silverware at six or seven and bussing tables at 13, then waited tables and ran the restaurant as part-time manager when the general manager was out. In my twenties I became general manager of the WaterSports reservations and check-in department: the booking system, the ads, and every customer who walked up to the counter. That was more than ten years, until the business sold in 2023.

I spent 10+ years at the front desk of my family's restaurant and watersports business, so I know what a missed call costs. I come to your business, take the photos myself, and set up your site and Google profile the way I'd want mine.

How did Saltwater Studio start?

I started Saltwater Studio in August 2025. Before anyone paid me, I built about half a dozen sites for myself and a few for businesses I hoped to work with. Beach House Moving was the first client. I built its website and its Google Business Profile from scratch, and I still run both.

My own sites are where I learned what breaks. I'd launch one, notice something wasn't working, fix it, and in the process learn how Google indexing works and what duplicate pages do to a site. BashSnippets and Kai's Run both started that way in spring 2026, and I've been a part owner of WaterVue Event Rentals for about two years. Those lessons became one workflow that designs, builds, and sets a site up to rank from day one, instead of patching problems after launch.

What does Travis do on every project?

The design, the Google Business Profile setup, the structured data, the photos, the review before launch, and the launch itself. After that, on a care plan, it's weekly upkeep: posts, articles, and keeping the business information current.

The platforms, named so you know exactly what you're getting: Next.js on Vercel for the site; Google Business Profile, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics 4 with Google Tag Manager on the Google side; Bing Webmaster Tools and IndexNow for Bing; schema.org structured data and an llms.txt file for AI search; Stripe for payments; and Resend for form email.
