Terms of Service

These terms cover any work you buy from Saltwater Studio (“we,” “us”), run by Travis Abadie in Destin, Florida. You agree to them when you accept a quote in writing (email or text counts) or pay an invoice or payment link. Refunds and cancellations are covered in the Refund & Cancellation Policy, which is part of these terms.

What you get

The work is what the written quote or invoice describes, or, for a published plan, what that plan's page lists (see website plans). Anything outside that is quoted first and only starts once you say yes in writing.

Payment

Payment is due when the invoice or quote says. Work starts once the first payment arrives. Monthly plans renew each month on the same date until you cancel. If a payment is late, we may pause work until it arrives, and we'll tell you before anything is taken offline.

Your part

You agree to send the content, photos, logins and approvals we ask for in reasonable time, and to give us accurate information, especially anything that goes on a public listing or a government filing. Delays on your side move the delivery date by the same amount. You confirm you have the right to use anything you send us.

Delivery

A website is delivered when it is published on your domain, or, if publishing is waiting on you (domain access or an approval), when we send you a link to the finished site. A state or government filing is delivered when we submit it to the agency. How long the agency takes, and what it decides, is up to the agency. Other work is delivered when we send it to you. We send a message with the date each time something is delivered.

If you later ask us to pause, hide or take down delivered work, we will, but it still counts as delivered. Putting it back up is free while your plan is active.

Revisions and changes

Quoted work includes the rounds of revisions the quote says. On hosted plans, small changes (wording, photos, hours) are unlimited and done within 2 business days. New pages, new features and other bigger jobs are quoted first.

Monthly plans

Hosting & care and other monthly plans run month to month after any minimum the plan states. To cancel, text or email us before your next billing date. Service runs to the end of the month you paid for, and there are no partial-month refunds. Where your plan gives you the site files, we hand them over when you cancel.

Third-party fees

Some work involves fees we pay to someone else on your behalf: state filing fees, domain registration, registered agent services, and similar. These are passed through to you, are listed on the invoice, and can't be refunded by us once paid to that third party. Their own terms and refund rules apply. Domains and accounts are set up in your name.

Ownership

Your domain, logo, photos and words are always yours. Who owns the site files depends on the plan: with Buy It they are yours from the day you pay; on the Page Plan and Local Growth they become yours after 12 paid months, or sooner by paying the difference (see website plans). For quoted work, the finished files are yours once the quote is paid in full, unless the quote says otherwise. We keep our own tools, templates and know-how, and we only show your project in our portfolio with your permission.

No guarantees on rankings

We build things to be found, but nobody controls where Google, Bing, an AI assistant or any other platform ranks or shows a business. We don't promise specific rankings, calls or sales.

Limit of liability

We do careful work, but to the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us for the service the claim is about in the 12 months before it arose. We aren't liable for indirect losses such as lost profits, or for outages and changes at hosting providers, platforms or agencies we don't control.

Problems and disputes

If something isn't right, contact us first at hello@saltwaterstudio.xyz or (850) 218-5855 and we will work it out with you. If a chargeback is filed for work that was delivered, we will contest it and send the card company our records: the quote, your acceptance, the payment and the delivery messages.

The rest

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. If part of them can't be enforced, the rest still applies. We may update this page; the version in place when you accepted the quote or paid applies to that purchase.
